Dimensions: 8 ½ inches tall, 6 ¼ inches wide, weighs 479 grams. Description: Large blackware single spout stirrup vessel decorated with multiple raised chevrons and dots above incised fields. A small animal most likely a bird is perched on the handle up against the spout. No repairs or restorations found. Small chips on the spout, otherwise intact. Abrasions, wear consistent with age. Overall outstanding condition. Provenance: Ex. Private Tampa, FL collection, acquired in the 1960’s. Acquired by John McIntosh, MSE, MBA of Ancient Artifacts & Treasures, Winter Park, FL in 2019.
