Dimensions: 8 ½ inches tall, 5 ¾ inches wide, weighs 524 grams. Description: Rare large blackware single spout stirrup vessel decorated with multiple raised geometric patterns and stipels. The top of the vessel contains 4 separate pyramid shaped sections with two containing a raised relief of a warrior holding a blade and a severed head. The other two contain reliefs of depictions of enemy warriors. No repairs or restorations found. Small spout flake, a few stable age cracks and loss of some surface area, otherwise intact. Abrasions, wear consistent with age. Overall excellent condition. Provenance: Ex. Private Tampa, FL collection, acquired in the 1960’s. Acquired by John McIntosh, MSE, MBA of Ancient Artifacts & Treasures, Winter Park, FL in 2019. Acquired by The Artifact City Collection in 2025.
