Dimensions: 3 ½ inches tall, 4 inches wide, weighs 339 grams.Description: Solid redware cooking pot. Bottom and some sides blackened from open flames. No repairs or restorations. Small rim chips, minor abrasions, otherwise intact. Overall good condition.Manganese Dioxide Reactivity Test Results: A solution of laboratory grade 40% hydrogen peroxide was applied to multiple manganese blooms that resulted in a strong chemical reaction indicating approximately 2000 years of underground burial.Provenance: Ex. Private Longwood, Florida collection. Collected in the 1990’s. Acquired by John McIntosh, MSE, MBA of Ancient Artifacts & Treasures, Winter Park, Florida in 2023. Consigned to The PreColumbian Collection in 2025.
